Ljubljana is one of the most charming towns in the world. With its Medieval town, its slow river, and a castle on the hill, it looks like straight out of a fairy-tale. Your visit of Ljubljana will be a special one. You will start with a short and easy walk from the Medical centre to the city centre (15 min). Upon arriving to the old town, you will get to know the icons of Ljubljana and their stories on a guided visit: the famous Triple Bridge, The red (Franciscan) church, the Old Town Street, Town Hall, the baroque masterpiece Robba Fountain, and The Open-air Markets of Ljubljana. We will include legends and stories to your tour and will discuss the culture, and the cultural history of Ljubljana as well as an introduction to Slovenian culture and who the Slovenian people are. After a guided walk you will go on a river cruise down the calm Ljubljanica river with beautiful vistas and some treats to make it a special one. You will see the famous Dragon’s and Butcher’s bridges from the river, as well as many tidy riverbanks where Ljubljana people love to take time for a coffee at each of the many local cafes.
*The walk will cover about 3km on an easy terrain. The surfaces are even, but in the old town paved with cobble stones. You should be able to navigate the stairs (into the boat and off), and should bring solid shoes, a bottle of fresh water and something to cover your head in the sunny weather, or an umbrella in the case of rain.
