Petra Došenović Bonča

Petra Došenović Bonča, PhD, is an associate professor at the School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. She is the head of the master’s programme Health Economics and Management. Her research focuses on efficiency and performance of the health system and health care providers in Slovenia. She is a member of the Statistical Advisory Committee for Health at the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia and a member of the Project Council responsible for overseeing the DRG system improvement in Slovenia. She is also a member of the Strategic Council for Healthcare (advisory body of the prime minister) and a member of the Health Council, which is the highest professional coordination and consultation body of the Ministry of Health in the fields of healthcare and health insurance. She has published several papers analysing and assessing the Slovenia’s health care system and policy initiatives related to this sector. She has also participated in reform efforts and has been involved in consultancy projects for hospitals in Slovenia.
